I disagree with your perception of Rick Neuheisel. I think he is just what the UCLA program needed.

The average attendance is 23,000 which isn't all that bad for a young team having it's first successful season. Add in to the mix they do not play in Tampa but in St. Petersburg. A city of less that 250,000 and no mass transit. I do agree with Scott, but the Rays need to focus on the positive (maybe lower the prices too). Attendence is up on all the past years by 33%. Again, not bad.

I agree with Kazmir too. The thing is, once the team makes the play-offs, the attendance should go up and even more so next season, so it's always going to be a gradual process.

9-10,000 isn't much though. That must be a bummer for them.

I don't think we'll miss Dorrell, but you're right -- this will be the first time he has to really build from scratch. The project will take a few years, and by then, he'll probably have new, inferior coordinators than he has now.

The Cubs fans sound alot like a Dodgers fans, except if the Dodgers aren't winning, the fans don't come. And when they do come, its usually between the 2nd and 7th inning. I doubt cubs fans aren't going to vote for him because of the team he likes. In fact, they should respect that he stands by his convictions. McCain's favorite team depends on which one of his houses he's staying at the time.

Now that was funny, the monopoly might be over in a year or two. Do you realize who the coach of UCLA is? Has never been to a major bowl with his own kids. It wasnt his boys it was Lambrights in 2001 Rose Bowl and he McCarntneys kids and could not do jack with them. I appreciate the excitement you UCLA fans have. But be careful for what you wish for. I would expect his best year at UCLA will be next season. His best seasons at Colorado and UQ was year 2 and it goes downhill after that. I suspect you Bruin fan will be wishing Dorrell was still here in 2010 or 11
